After the release of the Audi, S6 comparison rises between the Audi S6 and BMW M550i
The Audi 2020 S6 is expected to arrive by the end of 2019, pushing the European version of the S6 on sale. The S6 would be starting at a price of $74,895 for the Premium Plus trim level and $78,795 for the Prestige trim level.
What is new in the Audi 2020 S6?
This model is based on the latest C8-generation A6 that adopts the same twin-turbo 2.9-liter V-6 used in the RS5. Also, the new engine makes 444 horsepower, but its torque rises by 37 lb-ft, to 443 lb-ft. Audi says that the engine used in the upcoming S6 uses a 48-volt mild-hybrid system supported by an electric supercharger.
However, the Audi S6 is widely compared with the BMW M550i because of its price. The Audi S6 is almost three grand cheaper than the $77,645 BMW M550i.
Though we cannot compare the performance of the cars, we can surely compare the overall looks of the cars. While the Audi S6 has a more sporty look with a more angular and sharp headlight, the BMW M550i has a more formal and understated look. The S6’s back flares out and it’s quad exhausts make the car sexier from behind.
And when we talk about the inside appearance of both the cars, the interior of the BMW M550i is just fine but a bit sedated while the interior of the Audi S6 appears to be more modern.
But this does not mean that BMW’s interior is built with low-quality materials. The material used in both cars is of almost the same standards and quality. But what makes the Audi S6 better is mainly the overall look that it is providing at a comparatively lower price than that of the BMW M550i.
