Without an official renewal, it’s hard to predict when exactly Wu Assassins be back. However, should it be renewed and follow suit, this action-packed series could be released around August 2020. This fantasy crime drama has planned to get back with a plot interesting enough to develop a spark among the fans.
This brand new martial art series talks about the last chosen warrior, Kai Jin (played by Iko Uwais) of the Wu Assassins who must search for the powers of an ancient triad and restore balance in San Francisco. The character Kai has been portrayed as a statement made by the pure fire, Uncle Six, where he stated the non-existence of true heroes. The mystical character Li Jun Li (played by Jenny Wah) helped Kai to restore his own mystical powers.
She introduced him to ancient stories of the war of Wu Assassins against the power mongers. After the encounter with a mystical spirit, the young chef of Chinatown in San Francisco unwillingly converted into the Wu Assassin. At the end of the season, Kai managed to kill the villain McCollough following him through his time travel portal. The first season of the series ended with Kai holding a letter in his hand from his dead stepfather Uncle Six (played by Byron Mann).
Wu Assassins scores only 6.9 out of 10 on the movie database IMDb at 2762 reviews. Season 2 of this American supernatural action TV series will attract the attention of the fans of the action genre. Thanks to the combined efforts of director Stephen Fung, star Iko Uwais, fight choreographer Dan Rizzuto, and an army of stunt maestros, this series has some dazzling impressive fists-and-feet throwdowns.
Now, there is no guarantee regarding the release of Wu Assassins Season 2; without any trustworthy viewership data. But if it does return, let’s hope the script can really keep up its pace with those fists!
