The official Violet Evergarden anime website has announced its official release date for its upcoming much-anticipated Violet Evergarden: The Movie. The film is set to open in theatres across Japan on 24 April 2020.
World-renowned production company Kyoto Animation has had a new film in the works for some time. While the film was initially scheduled for January but eventually, it was postponed following the tragic fire at the 1st Studio of Kyoto Animation. But now that the famous studio is on the road of buildup again and to a healthy recovery. The projects they have been working on are in motion still.
Violet Evergarden: The Movie indefinitely postpones undoubtedly a piece of great news not only for the company but for the fans itself. Taichi Ishidate is directing the Violet Evergarden at Kyoto Animation, with Akiko Takase returning to provide character designs. Reiko Yoshida is back in charge of the series composition for the film.
Along with the revelation of the rescheduling date at the official website, the film’s production committee also thanked its fans for their constant support and mentioned how the staff and director behind the film are working hard toward the film’s release with all of their hearts, strength, and will. Just four months delayed from its initial version which was set January 10 the fans have stuck with the production house
Kyoto Animation’s television is an anime adaptation of author Kana Akatsuki and illustrator Akiko Takase’s Violet Evergarden novels, which was premiered on TV in Japan and on Netflix and in some territories in January 2018. The anime was launched on Netflix in April 2018 in the USA.
Kyoto Animation was authorized in 1981 by former Mushi Pro staff members. Since its foundation, the studio has worked on numerous famous anime titles, including The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Clannad, K-On!, Free!, Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid, and Sound! Euphonium.
