The Incredible Hulk was supposed to have three sequels, and Tim Blake Nelson, one of the stars in the movie, was supposed to be the supervillain in the sequels. The Incredible Hulk is the second movie of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it remains the lowest-grossing Marvel film. It had many plot points, but ten years later, it still needs to answer some questions. It is an only Marvel film to have no sequels.
Tim Blake Nelson, who played the role of The Leader in the first installment, said, “I got called down to the lobby of the Mercer Hotel to meet Louis Leterrier and Gale Ann Hurd, who’s a producer. They said, ‘We want you to play this science character [Samuel Sterns],” and I’d read the script. He was a wildly eccentric guy, mainly in the second half of the movie.”
He also said,”I thought that was interesting because I haven’t been in one of these movies before and they said, ‘Well, you’re going to become the villain in the next movie, so you’ll basically be signing up for three movies, and you’re going to be this character called The Leader.’ And I thought ‘Oh my God, this is fantastic.’”
But The Incredible Hulk was not a hit, so the sequels were never on the cards. Nobody knows what happened to The Leader(played by Tim Nelson), but the comics say he was in custody of The SHIELD. His current whereabouts are unknown.
The Incredible Hulk is a 2008 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character the Hulk, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Universal Pictures.
