Netflix’s ‘The Witcher’ has brought back fans to ‘The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt’.

The Witcher is an RPG developed by CD Projekt  Red and published by Atari on MS  Windows.

The Netflix series and the RPG is based on the book, ‘The Witcher.’ by Polish author Andrej Sapkowski. It is a fantasy drama series created by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich for Netflix.

The story is about Geralt of Rivia, a monster hunter with magical powers known as Witchers. He struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts.

The RPG “The Witcher” set a record for a number of concurrent players on steam, which is more than its initial records. This is new for single-player RPGs. The Witcher 3: the wild hunt is the 14th most played game on Steam, and that is without counting PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or on The Witcher 3’s recent switch port.

And it is also good news for Andrzej Sapkowski,  because The Last Wish, is the third best-selling title on Amazon in the “Literature and Fiction” category.

In The Most Popular TV Shows of 2019, The Witcher was among the most viewed in the U.S. market. It was ranked second among series. The Witcher was also ranked sixth on the list of all 2019 releases.
