If you watch television, then you must have heard the name of the show “Jeopardy!”. It is a game show regarding the formation of questions. Now we got the news that the show’s host Alex Trebek has stated over his health conditions, “I’m not afraid of dying.”
In March, Alex had been diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. The medication started immediately. He was undergoing the process of chemotherapy in May. In September, the chemotherapy again took pace to which he told the media that the health conditions were getting stable. Trebek also said in an interview, “I’ve lived a good life, a full life, and I’m nearing the end of that life… if it happens, why should I be afraid of that?”
“I talk to the producers about this all the time now. I say, ‘Look, I’m slurring my words. My tongue doesn’t work as well as it used to. The chemo has caused sores inside my mouth. It makes it difficult for me to speak and enunciate properly,” Trebek stated. The show producers haven’t indicated anything officially. Trebek has said that he is keeping the point where he might have to leave the show one day.
“When I feel that my skills have diminished to the point that I notice and am bothered by it. I notice now, but I am not as bothered by it because all people around me are saying, ‘No, it’s OK.”
“But there will come the point where they will no longer be able to say, ‘It’s OK,” he concluded. Alex joined the show in 1984 and is now the current host of the show. “Jeopardy!” is a classic game show in which answers have been provided beforehand, and the questions are put up by the audience afterward.
