“US$180 million global opening on ‘Hobbs & Shaw‘ is NOT a win! Tyrese Gibson, a cast member of Fast and Furious franchise, made this comment in since-deleted Instagram post. Apparently, he has a long history of criticizing the idea of Fast and Furious spin-off.
After the raging feud between Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) and other stars of ‘The Fate of the Furious’ cast members, a couple of years ago, the WWE champion shared an inappropriate post during production, which was believed to demean Vin Diesel.
Gibson slammed the Rock for delaying ‘Fast and Furious 9’ by making spin-off ‘Hobbs and Shaw.’ And Gibson hit out again, post-release of the ‘Hobbs and Shaw’, in the deleted Instagram post.
Thank you everyone for makin’ this an exciting first week of box office for our lil’ spin-off @hobbsandshaw.
#1 movie and $333M worldwide, ain’t too shabby.
And remember, the best way to shut the mouth of a 🤡 is to flex with success and a smile.

The Rock subtly fired back at Tyrese Gibson with a clown comment after Gibson mocked his ‘Hobbs and Shaw’ results in the box-office. “The best way to shut the mouth of a clown is to flex with success and a smile,” Dwayne tweeted. The first spin-off film of the franchise, Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw, hasn’t made much money as the previous ones of the franchise. However, Johnson aka Rock has likened the financial success (US$333 million) worldwide of the film, stating it as ‘not too shabby.’
Gibson isn’t the only one among the Fast and Furious stars to have attacked the cast members involved with ‘Hobbs and Shaw’. But the recently deleted tweet in Instagram triggered Dwayne Johnson to call out Tyrese Gibson after his latest movie success in the box office.
‘Hobbs and Shaw’ is now playing in theaters all around the globe. Go ahead and watch it!
