The 76-year-old Hollywood actor slammed the United States president Donald Trump saying that ‘he wouldn’t last long’ like a gangster.
The veteran actor voiced out his criticism on the president during his appearance on the MSNBC on Saturday to the host Joy Reid.
He further said that he didn’t get why people followed Trump (referring to the Trump supporters) and accused the president of never keeping up his words, and De Niro said that he’s lasting only because he is in “his little estate world”.
The actor also said that Trump is a “fake president” who needs to be “held accountable” through the house democrats, the 75-year-old actor then accused the United States president of “doing something wrong” and said that “he must pay for it.”
De Niro later revealed his interpretations on why Trump keeps referring to everything as “fake news”, which according to the actor is because he (Trump) is a fake.
This is not the first time Robert De Niro bashes Trump, while he was interviewed by Fox News, he was questioned about the Trump supporters he replied with “bad words” which startled the CNN viewers.
The actor has also referred to the president as ‘Gangster’ before. This took place with an interview with the guardian, where the actor said that he couldn’t wait to see Trump in jail. “we have a gangster president who thinks he can do whatever he wants” the actor added to his statement.
While Trump took to Twitter to give Robert di Nario a piece of his mind with a tweet that read “Robert De Nario, a very low IQ individual, has received too many shots to the head by real boxers in movies,” he added “I watched him last night and truly believe he may be a punch-drunk I guess he doesn’t”.
