“Havana” singer Camila Cabello says she does not want to use social media that much because it is affecting her mental health.
According to a report by femalefirst.co.uk, Camila Cabello ‘Senorita’ is trying to stay away from Instagram as much as possible as because she can’t help but absorb the negativity and allowing it to affect her mental health.
Addressing her fans, she took on her Instagram account and wrote that “Really wanted to send love to everyone on here, I’m trying to stay away from Social media as because it is not suitable for me. And I don’t know how not to be affected by what people say on here, so I just don’t read it.
“But I am aware that I can use this platform to help people even in small ways! So to anyone on here who is struggling, which we all do sometimes cause we’re human! I super recommend taking five minutes out of your day to breathe.” She added to her statement.
Camila says she is more focusing on meditation and breathing to fight her anxiety on a day to day basis, and she added that she could feel some improvement in her mental health.
She says overthinking is trapping her and being in her head as opposed to the present moment.
“Lately just going back to my breath and focusing on it puts me back in my body and back in the present and helps me so much,” she said.
Whether you agree to her or not, she has a point in her statement. Social media is affecting our mental health a lot.
