Ray J hopes President Donald Trump will pardon his friend Suge because he believes that Suge has realized and learned from his mistakes and is ready to change his path.

Suge Knight, the former founder of Death Row Records,  is currently serving a 28-year sentence for killing Terry Carter and injuring Cle Sloan with his car on the movie set of Straight Outta Compton January 2015.

Suge Knight has a decade long history of felony convictions. In 1996 he spent nearly five years in prison for beating Tupac Shakur in Las Vegas, Nevada. Six years later, he was jailed again this time for violating his probation. In 2003, Knight was sent to prison again for violating parole when he struck a parking lot attendant. He was charged with robbery in 2014. In 2015 he was arrested in connection with Carter’s death, where the prosecutors also accused him of bribing witnesses during the trial.

Ray J, 38, has been trying to land a meeting with the members but the administration themselves has been pushing Ray J to join the president on the road at one of his political rallies

“The people around Ray J keep telling him that the fallout with African Americans for meeting with Trump could be catastrophic to his career. Especially if he shows up at a political rally,” the insider said.

If  Ray J’s ex, Kim Kardashian, can get the Trump administration to agree to mercy, then maybe Ray J has a decent chance to save his friend.
