The fate of the Furious introduced Charlez Theron as a cyber-terrorist Cipher who forced Dom (played by Vin Diesel) to turncoats on his street family and operated for her.
And yes! The latest news does confirm her return!
Vin Diesel has announced Theron’s return for Fast & Furious 9 with the same role as unveiled in 2017, but with a new hairdo.
Vin Diesel talked about Charlez Theron’s return in his IG story. Theron herself posted in her IG story showing off two pictures from the set of Fast & Furious 9.
“She’s baaaaack !”
Even Theron shared a photo of her character with a new cropped ‘does on Instagram, ditching those long blond dreads. Her character Cipher is supposed to be on the run after she blackmailed Dom (Vin Diesel) and kidnap his baby in the Fast & Furious franchise’s eighth film. It is difficult for her being recognizable in a crowd since she would be back with the shorter look if Dom and his crew are in search.
Apart from Theron, Hellen Mirren will be returning to the franchise as Magdalene Shaw, the mother of Jason Statham’s character Deckard Shaw.
Producer Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese, and Ludacris will reprise their roles in the ninth Fast and the Furious movie.
John Cena, as a replacement to Dwayne Johnson and Michael Rooker, from Guardians of the Galaxy will also join the franchise.
The eighth movie of the franchise in Fate of the Furious grossed $1.2 billion worldwide. Quite a stunning figure it was! Now it’s time for the ninth installment to showcase itself.
Universal Pictures previously scheduled the Fast & Furious 9 six weeks back from April 10 to May 22, 2020 — the start of the Memorial Day weekend, earlier this year. Fast & Furious 9 is scheduled to be released on May 22, 2020, by Universal Pictures.
