According to TMZ, the third man speculated to be connected to the death of rapper Mac Miller has been arrested. Stephen Stevie Walter was arrested in Los Angeles on Monday, and charged with fraud and drug and gun possession, after being suspected to be contacted by another suspect Cameron James Pettit. Pettit was the first suspect to be arrested in connection to the Pittsburgh-born musician, passed away in 2018.
Police found out that Pettit called Walter asking for 10 blue Percocet pills on the rapper’s behalf, after discussing the details with Miller. Walter sent a runner to transport the oxycodone pills to Pettit, who passed them on to the rapper around 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 5, 2018. The “Knock Knock” rapper died two days later after taking those pills.
The second man implicated in Miller’s death was Ryan Reavis. He was taken into custody after investigating his place at Lake Havasu City, Arizona. A doctor’s prescription pad, unspecified prescription drugs, drug paraphernalia along with a usable amount of marijuana was the stuff that came out to light post search.
Agency officials warned during Pettit’s arrest the consequences of deaths due to possession of illegal drugs and overdose deaths as per the justice system.
“Let our message be clear, if you peddle illegal drugs and kill someone, the DEA will be the voice of the victim … We will not rest until you face the justice system.”
Walter will remain in custody, who is on supervised release in a 2005 drug case since his lawyer hasn’t turned to the message immediately.
Rolling Stone rolled out a copy of the criminal complaint that dictated the contents of the counterfeit pills, which includes fentanyl. Even an autopsy of Mac Miller found fentanyl, cocaine, and alcohol in his system.
Miller contributed five studio albums and a slew of mix-tapes, starting a career at 14. With a devoted fan-base, Miller took his last breath on September 7th, 2018, at the age of 26. The rapper ultimately signed with Rostrum Records, the label of fellow Pittsburgh rapper Wiz Khalifa. Swimming was his final LP, which is released on August 3rd, 2018.
